Escali Scales at einmaleins

With Fall around the corner it’s time for baking. The heat of the oven is not bringing the house to a boiling anymore and we are ready again for cakes, pies, bread… oh and brezels… yeah, that’s right. That’s what I am going to make this weekend – ask me about the official “swabian-approved” recipe. They are delicious and easy to make.

But enough about delicious brezels, warm, fresh from the oven with some butter, or nutella or perhaps a bit of brie and ham…

Am I still talking about brezels? Okay, but what I really want to talk about is scales. We are carrying some great digital scales and they have become amazingly useful in the kitchen not just for those delicious brezels but whenever you need to measure and weigh something. Sure, most older cookbooks still use the old-fashioned and hightly inaccurate way of recipe writing by using cups and spoons, but measuring in weight by grams or ounces is more acurate, faster and more professional. So, what are you waiting for, get a scale, and a good one, while you’re at it.

Escali scales, from left to right:
Tabla $40, Vitra $35, Sola $40, Primo in red and silver $30. All come with a ton of great features, measure very acurate, have a tare feature, turn itself off and measure grams and ounces up to 11lbs or 5000 grams.
